Refresh Your Nest Friday #8

There's a special surprise in store for one lucky participant in this week's party, whether you link OR simply comment...

YOU GET TO MARRY ROBERT PATTINSON!  just kidding.  sorry about that.  it's past midnight and I'm getting punchy.

Twentieth Century Fox for Home Entertainment is providing one reader with their very own DVD/book bundle of Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants!  I adored the book, and if you haven't read this novel it's well worth it add it to your wish list.  It's available on Blu-ray and DVD starting November 1st and it stars dreamy Robert Pattinson and a stylish Reese Witherspoon.  One lucky reader will get both the book AND the movie-- all you have to do is link up something for this week's Refresh Your Nest and/or comment.  Doing both will get you two entries.  I'll choose the winner November 10th at 11:59 PM and announce it during next week's RMN.

Here are five links I loved from last week's party.  I literally had to force myself to only include 5, it's the whole "I'm blogging past midnight and if I keep adding links I'm going to never sleep again" thing that made me keep it short.  So, here's 5 featured links from last week's shindig:

Crafty Endeavor shows how to make a feather wreath out of a few boas and pipe insulation.  For real.  Love it!

Sew Woodsey made some stunning fall pillows.  Truly unique and fun!

See those birch trees?  Art is Beauty handpainted them onto a piano bench.  That's talent, folks!

Perfect Pumpkin Pancakes from Mom On Timeout; I'm SO making these this weekend for my hardworking (pumpkin loving) husband.

Did I tell you about the vintage glass knobs I bought on my trip to Boston?  No?  Well, In The Old Road did something neat with hers and now it's got my mind thinking beyond using mine as plain old drawer pulls.

Aren't those projects great?  If you think those projects are amazing, just wait until you see what's in store this week.  More awesomesauce for SURE! ;-)

By now I'm sure you know the rules, but just in case:

1. Link to the specific post, not just your blog's home page.

2. Including a link back to this party at the end of your post allows others to play along or scout out inspiration for themselves.  You would be even more amazing if you posted the Refresh My Nest button-- I've even made it super easy, just grab the code below the button and paste it in the HTML section of your post.

3.  An active linky is a happy linky.  PLEASE visit one or more links that interest you so that everyone gets some comments and traffic.  There's nothing more discouraging than taking time to link up and no one visits.

Making Lemonade

All right, here we go... don't forget that either linking or commenting will enter you in the Water For Elephants DVD/Book bundle.  You know that would make a great stocking stuffer for someone special.  Perhaps you, if you are a Robert Pattinson fan!

  3. Those pancakes look simply to drool for! I may have to try them also this weekend.

I've seen Water for Elephants (and had no idea what it was about going into it) and really liked the movie (well, not the sad/ugly parts, but you know..). I bought the book recently and need to read it soon.

  11. I'm back! I made the pumpkin pancakes on Saturday and they are definitely perfect! (Even sans cloves, because I ran out! Can you believe that?!) I only cooked half the batter and the rest is going to be cooked very soon. I even shared some of these this my husband, although I didn't want to. lol
