This week's RYN Friday sponsor is Chesapeake Ribbons, a wonderful source for quality ribbon belts, barrettes, headbands, dog collars, and more. It's owned and opereated by a stay-at-home mom, so you can be assured you are getting the service you deserve. I can personally attest to the quality, too. Noodle received a Turtle Ribbon Belt to test out and she's head over heels for it!
Noodle's pants are always hanging low since she wears a 24M size but is a potty-trained 3-year-old so they sag in the waist (she doesn't need the room for diapers like most that age). Needless to say, this belt has really come in handy. Here's the good news for all of you: anyone linking up and/or commenting is eligible to win a product of their choice from Chesapeake Ribbons in this week's giveaway! These adorable belts and other products are pretty much the perfect stocking stuffer or fun gift for yourself. More details, a code for free shipping, and other ways to enter at the end of this post.
Featured Projects
Now, for the RYN features from last week. How do the big bloggers navigate 400+ links in their weekly parties?! I'm having trouble narrowing my features to just five, and I had wayyyyy less than 400 links to look through. Here's the five featured projects, in no particular order, that are making my turkey gobble this week {whatever that means, sorry, I'm still punchy from a week of single parenting}:
See this West Elm Origami Pillow knock-off from Design Fluff? It's no sew. Yeah, I know. I could do this!
I'm absolutely in love with this nature-inspired dining room and tablescape from It's Overflowing. If Aimee's not careful I might just invite myself over for Thanksgiving.
Barb's Pinterest-inspired Map Pinecone Ornament at Turtles and Tails has special meaning-- she used a map of a special vacation spot (Hawaii) to craft it. Wouldn't that make an amazing gift for newlyweds?
Many blogs are abuzz about chalk paint, but the Anna Sloan version is very expensive. Ugly Duckling Transformations shows how to make homemade chalk paint for a fraction of the cost.
I've known a few Star Wars fans in my day, and this Yoda Softy from Dahlhart Lane would be a HUGE hit. Doesn't that just put a smile on your face? Malinda's like the fabric whisperer.
For some reason I'm having trouble accessing her post, but it looks neat from what I can read so an honorary mention goes to Kammy's Korner-- a former bat poopy chair gets transformed to this amazingness:
The Giveaway
You can enter to win a product of your choice from Chesapeake Ribbons by doing any or all of the following. If you want to order something from Chesapeake Ribbons, enter code "freeship" for free shipping! Each link/comment counts as one entry, be sure to leave a comment for each of those entries:
* link up to the party (automatically counts as an entry)
* Tweet or Facebook about the party (each tweet counts as one entry, up to one entry per day)
* comment on this post with something you loved at Chesapeake Ribbons
* like Making Lemonade AND Chesapeake Ribbons on Facebook
Good luck! I'll choose the winner at midnight on December 1st and announce on December 2nd.
The Link-Up
Here we go, with a few ground rules:
1. Link to the specific post, not just your blog's home page.
2. Including a link back to this party at the end of your post allows others to play along or scout out inspiration for themselves. You would be even more amazing if you posted the Refresh My Nest button-- I've even made it super easy, just grab the code below the button and paste it in the HTML section of your post.
3. An active linky is a happy linky. PLEASE visit one or more links that interest you so that everyone gets some comments and traffic. There's nothing more discouraging than taking time to link up and no one visits.
Ready, set, GO!

ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday! I really feel on top of things this year. Hubs braved the periling trip to the attic and pulled out my Christmas decor. Then he even went with me to get some more lights and put them up yesterday. I love me some twinkling lights!
ReplyDeleteThat pirate belt of hers is KILLING ME. Would struggle between choosing that and a turtle belt. Or an owl belt. Man. I want all of them.
